TOTAL LIFELONG CATECHESIS (TLC)
Family Formation Model of Catechesis
TLC, which stands for Total Lifelong Catechesis, is a family formation model of catechesis. While the main participants of TLC are families with school-aged children (K-8), we invite ALL parishioners to be involved. TLC is one of the core offerings at St. Albert's and challenges parishioners to be lifelong students and true disciples of Jesus Christ. The goals of TLC are to provide a place to form community and friendship while providing education and formation with an emphasis on encouraging, equipping, and supporting parents as they raise and educate their children in the Catholic faith.
“Family catechesis…precedes, accompanies and enriches all other forms of catechesis.
Thus there cannot be too great an effort on the part of Christian parent to prepare for this
ministry of being their own children’s catechists and to carry it out with tireless zeal.”
Pope St. John Paul II, Catechesi Tradendae
