TLC, which stands for Total Lifelong Catechesis, is a family formation model of catechesis and the primary faith formation offering for families of school age children.
As we enter our 15th year of TLC, we have changed our approach to better serve our families and youth. Now, TLC will center on families with children in Kindergarten through 6th Grade.
See FAQ with all the specific details of TLC, including Dates and Times, along with opportuntities for Youth in Grades 7-12.
Studies show that parents are the most important element in a child's faith life. Based on the principle that "Parents are the primary educators in the Faith" [General Directory for Catechesis 255], family formation revolves around weekly family gatherings and home lessons. This shared learning experience spills over into the family's everyday life. Our ultimate goal is to assist parents in their responsibilities as educators of the faith. We want to help you keep Jesus at the center of your family!
“Family catechesis…precedes, accompanies and enriches all other forms of catechesis.
Thus there cannot be too great an effort on the part of Christian parent to prepare for this
ministry of being their own children’s catechists and to carry it out with tireless zeal.”
Pope St. John Paul II, Catechesi Tradendae
Everybody needs a little TLC!
