Sharing and Caring Hands

WHAT IS SHARING & CARING HANDS?
Sharing and Caring Hands is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit dedicated to serving people experiencing poverty and homelessness. The organization provides meals, clothing, shelter support, hygiene services, and more — all with compassion and dignity. They rely heavily on volunteers and community support to carry out this work. 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

The Church of St. Albert partners with Sharing and Caring Hands by organizing a monthly volunteer service opportunity. Volunteers prepare and serve a noon meal to guests in Minneapolis.

This volunteer service takes place every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Volunteers typically meet at St. Albert Parish Center to help prepare and pack the meal before traveling together to serve. Parishioners may also contribute by donating food items such as bars or cookies for the meal.

This outreach ministry offers a meaningful way to:

• Serve those in need

• Build community within the parish

• Live out faith through action

• Practice the Corporal Works of Mercy, especially feeding the hungry and caring for those in need

• Teach children how to serve others with compassion

• Help children grow in generosity, kindness, and gratitude through hands-on service

• Earn service hours (for students)
  
  

It is a rewarding hands-on experience that makes a real difference in the lives of others.
