The Church of St. Albert has been a Safe Environment parish since 2004 in that all volunteers who work with children, teens, and vulnerable adults are Essential Three qualified.

Volunteer Safe Environment Requirements
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Church of St. Albert. Your interest in volunteering is a way of serving Christ in those around you.
All volunteers who work with children, teens, or vulnerable adults need to be "Essential Three" qualified with the Archdiocese-required "Essential Three" prior to volunteering. The Three Essentials to be completed are:
1) a criminal background check (cost covered by the parish),
2) a signed code of conduct, and
3) an online training in VIRTUS.
Volunteers who have already completed the "Essential Three" are now required to renew these three items every three years. VIRTUS re-certification involves watching an online video (20-30 minutes) and taking a simple quiz.
- Go to www.virtusonline.org log in with your original User ID and password. If you do not remember your User ID or cannot retrieve your password, you may call or email St. Albert's Safe Environment Coordinator, Janet Welter at 763-497-2474, Ext 1 or jwelter@churchofstalbert.org.
- Once you are logged in, you should see three links highlighted in yellow: Background Check, Code of Conduct, and Assigned Module. Click each link and complete each item.
- You should also take this opportunity to update your account information. If you completed your VIRTUS training as a volunteer for another parish, please call or email our Safe Environment Coordinator, Janet Welter at 763-497-2474, Ext 1 or jwelter@churchofstalbert.org.

NEW VOLUNTEERS/PARENTS:
CLICK HERE for PDF explanation on how to sign up. To complete your background check paperwork, sign your code of conduct, and sign up for an upcoming VIRTUS training session:- Go to virtusonline.org and click "First Time Registrant," then click "Begin the registration process."
- Select "St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN (Archdiocese)" from the dropdown menu and click "select."
- Create a User ID and Password.
- Be sure to select “St. Albert” in Albertville as your Primary Location. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the background check, Code of Conduct, and online training.
We also ask that all New volunteers who will be working with children, teens, or vulnerable adults at the Church of St. Albert complete a Volunteer Application Form.
