St. Albert's Council of Catholic Women, CCW, and our Respect Life Outreach started the Prayer Blanket Ministry in September 2008. Prayer blankets are small lap blankets that are given to parishioners and their family and friends who are ill, having surgery, are homebound, in the hospital or a nursing home. They are a visual reminder that the person is not forgotten--that they are being remembered in prayer by the members of our parish.
The blankets are made and donated by women of our parish/area. A pocket stating "Covered in prayer by Church of St. Albert" is sewn on the blanket and a prayer card is inserted. These blankets are blessed by Father. The name of the person receiving a blanket is written in a book by the Adoration Chapel with a request for people to pray for them when in adoration.
If you would like a prayer blanket for yourself or someone else, please call the parish office or Marlene at 763-497-2265 or Chris at 763-497-3662.
